Inspired by Japanese Sekitei (rock gardens), this work, in a set of two, reflects on the quiet discipline of stone placement and the belief that emptiness can be as meaningful as form. In Zen thought, negative space is not empty—it’s shaped by what surrounds it, and it invites calm, focus, and reflection.
