Stones, sticks and threads have been important since ancient times for reasons far beyond their functional use. We’ve gathered around stones for ages, worshipped them, used sticks as a symbolic connection to the heavens, tied threads to protect and to ask for protection. These seemingly worthless objects are symbolic of celebrations, prayers and rituals that give meaning to how we live. In this work they come together as if taking part in an unnamed ceremony.
